Position:Luxury Sales Associate/Wedding Specialist
(part-time)
We are looking for someone who loves our jewelry and loves helping customers in a warm, professional and respectful manners. This person has to be a kind, friendly people-person because s/he will have to work closely with not only the customers but also the other staff members for smooth daily operations. Your typical day would be making appointments with customers, giving them a private wedding consultation in our showroom (we are not storefront and do not accept walk-in customers), answering to email inquires from customers, and processing online orders.

Duties:
All aspects of customer service.  Conduct wedding band consultations.  Online store operation.  Assist with the inventory management.  Assist for writing web description, PR or social media. Assist wholesale operation and administrative tasks as directed.

Qualification:
1+ year Work Experience in Customer Service or Retail  Jewelry making experience and/or gemstone knowledge is a big plus, with an eagerness to learn more
Associate’s degree or higher
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Efficiency with computer technology and work experience of a variety of software programs such as MS Excel, Word, Google Suite, Adobe Suite is a big plus, E-Commerce applications, etc.
Authorized to work in the U.S.
Detail-oriented and able to multi-task.  Kind, flexible, responsible and patient.  Otherwise you are not going to love this job.


Position: Studio Assistant (full-time)
Satomi Kawakita Jewelry is looking for the right person to be our studio assistant, serving as the principal supporting role for all aspects of production for our proprietary line. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, flexible, has a strong interest in small manufacturing operations and is specifically interested in learning the ins-and-outs of the jewelry production industry. We are looking forward to welcoming the newest member of our proud production department and hope to continue to cultivate a team that is able to grow with the company.

Duties:
This position reports directly to SKJ’s Studio Manager and fulfills a breadth of responsibilities instrumental to studio operations. The primary aspects of this role center around raw inventory oversight, production prep and general clerical support, including, but not limited to:

  • Raw inventory counts
  • Jewelry district runs and vendor liaising
  • Raw material processing
  • Facilitating ordering, receiving and returning
  • Manufacturing order prep (pulling all components for production)
  • Production data entry
  • Larger production support projects
  • Technical support for inventory software implementation


Qualifications:
The day-to-day demands of this position are constantly shifting so flexibility and a positive attitude are paramount to succeeding in this role. The ideal candidate has an extremely acute attention to detail, a propensity for organization and strong time management and communication skills. They are also adept at wearing a number of hats and adapting to the fast-paced and changing needs of the studio. Some familiarity and comfort level with spreadsheets and software is required, but much of the technical support required will be trained. All candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.
